Description
The Greater Brisbane, Ipswich, Somerset countryside, and Scenic Rim regions of Southeast Queensland offer some of the most spectacular landscapes for a hot air ballooning adventure. As the only ballooning operator west of Brisbane, this is a rare opportunity to experience a sunrise flight over one of Southeast Queensland’s most beautiful and diverse regions.
This boutique ballooning experience is designed around small-group flying, personal service, and a truly immersive behind-the-scenes journey. Every flight is led by a Chief Pilot with over 34 years of experience, ensuring the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and guest care.
Your morning begins approximately 45 minutes before sunrise, where you will meet your pilot and fellow passengers for a full safety briefing. Final weather checks are completed before your launch site is selected—often just a short 5–15 minute drive from the meeting point. Guests may also be invited to assist with the inflation and post-landing pack-down of the balloon, offering a rare behind-the-scenes insight into how the experience comes to life.
As the sun rises, you gently lift off for approximately one hour of flight time. Drift peacefully over rolling countryside, winding rivers, and patchwork farmland, as the landscape slowly awakens in the early morning light. Expansive views stretch toward distant cityscapes on the horizon, creating a striking contrast between rural tranquillity and the edges of urban Southeast Queensland.
Floating silently above the region, you’ll experience a constantly shifting panorama best appreciated in stillness—an unforgettable perspective ideal for photography and lifelong memories.
After landing, you will be transferred back to Ipswich where a hearty breakfast awaits (if option selected). You will also receive a flight certificate to commemorate your journey and your sunrise flight over Greater Brisbane.

Important Information
- This is a sunrise outdoor aviation experience and strictly weather dependent. Flights operate only when conditions are safe as determined by the Chief Pilot

Minimum passenger numbers apply. If not met, flights may be rescheduled
CASA aviation regulations apply: passengers must be able to independently enter/exit the basket and stand unaided for the duration of flight. No wheelchair access or mobility aids. Pregnant passengers cannot participate
Weight & medical requirements: all passengers must provide names and estimated weights (kg). Advise if over 85kg or any medical conditions. 110kg+ incurs a 50% surcharge payable directly to the supplier. 130kg+ cannot participate
Early morning attendance is required (approx. 45 minutes prior to sunrise)
